If you find yourself in the Northern Territory's capital of Darwin, there's a few interesting golf courses worth playing.
We visited Darwin Golf Club, Palmerston Golf Club and Humpty Doo Golf Club and they each have their own point of difference.
Darwin Golf Club was designed by five-time Open Championship winner Peter Thomson and - at the time of playing - was very affordable at $30 for 18 holes.
In the video below we highlight a few of the more compelling parts of the layout including the par-four sixth featuring a blind tee shot, the double green shared by the third and seventh holes and the long and straight par-five 14th.
The Royal Australian Air Force has a base near the course and, if you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of some jets flying by.
Humpty Doo and Rural Area Golf Club is a nine-hole course carved out of natural bushland and about a 35-minute drive from central Darwin.
One quirky feature was the positioning of some of the tall gum trees which are either on some of the fairways or in spots where longer hitters should play straight over them.
The standout holes include the par-three second with a pond in front the green, the dogleg right third with trees on the inside corner of the dogleg and the par-five ninth which features a double dogleg.
