Every Hole at Royal Melbourne Golf Club - The East Course

Take an aerial tour of one of the premier golf course in Australia: The East Course at Royal Melbourne Golf Club.

The East Course was designed by Alex Russell who is also responsible for the designs of nearby Yarra Yarra, Lake Karrinyup in Perth and Paraparaumu Beach in New Zealand.

The East Course doesn't quite garner the same accolades as Royal Melbourne's West Course though its a fabulous layout which has generally been ranked amongst the world's top 100 and - unusually - plays across three different paddocks of land.

Golfers have to cross suburban streets to move between the paddocks and even use a pedestrian light to move to and from Royal Melbourne's main paddock.

Royal Melbourne's famed Composite Course features 6 holes from the East Course and 12 from the West.

When Club members play the Composite Course, the six holes normally featured from the East are holes 1, 2, 3, 4, 17 and 18.

However, in recent professional events on Royal Melbourne's Composite Course, the use of the uphill par-three 4th hole has been substituted for the shorter par-three 16th.
